Moody blooms came from a place a growth. Pushing myself to learn more, go outside of my comfort zone. I feel most comfortable filling the canvas with color. I wanted to create a floral piece of art where you could feel calm and joy. Creating breathing room for the bold purples to to take up space without overwhelming. My mind tends to be very busy and many of my paintings are very busy.

It takes effort to paint calm. This is a favorite piece and one of my most popular prints. I still possess the original, however I know the right collector will come along one day who appreciates the calm beauty of these purple peonies.
