Blue Heron is a personal challenge in color and technique. Painted with a warmer palette than I typically reach for, this piece allowed me to experiment with blending cooler subject matter, a graceful heron, into a backdrop of rich, warm tones. The result is a bold contrast between the bird’s calm elegance and the vibrant reeds and water that surround it.
